To start off this post, I’ll state that my #2 favorite band is MUTEMATH. My #1 is Muse, and #3 Nickel Creek, but this isn’t about them.
Tuesday I took the day off from work at Crown because I had a special opportunity ahead of me. The MUTEMATH tour bus was rolling through Atlanta and were giving fans the chance to listen to their new album “Armistice” before it came out. To get this opportunity, I had purchased a VIP package (cheaply priced I might add) a few months earlier. Included in the package is the new album, a ticket to the show in November, VIP pass, a t-shirt, and a couple of other promotional goodies.
Anyways, the bus was parked at a random Wal-Mart parking lot in Atlanta, and about 10 VIP’s showed up at 3oclock to check out the album, meet a member of the band (this day was Roy- the bassist), give feedback on the album, and tell the team what they want to see on the upcoming tour.
Here’s the photo I took outside the bus:
It was a great experience. I really like the fact that the band gives fans opportunities like this to be involved and feel special!
Oh yeah, and the most exciting news:
I talked with the manager and it is looking like Bryan and I are going to get photo passes to take pictures at the show in November! Ahh! It is my photographer dream. I got real lucky about a year ago and shot One Republic at the same venue.
Come out to the Tabernacle November 6th and check out MUTEMATH. They’re great live!
